 Student Information

  1. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​T​o tr​ansfer to a CSU campus students must complete the Golden 4 as soon as possible. Complete 1 course from each area: 

    • ​​​​A1 – ORAL COMMUNICATION:  
      (COMM 1, 4, 7, 8 112)
    • A2 – WRITTEN COMPOSITION: 
      (ENG 1) 
    •  A3 – CRITICAL THINKING:  ​​
      (AJ 25, ENGL 2, PHIL 20, 25, COMM 5) 
    • B4 – MATH  /  QUANTITATIVE REASONING:  
      ​​(BUS 20, 119, MATH 10, 11, 21, 35, 70, 65, 66, 67, 80, 81, 154, SSCI 25)

  2. ​Complete 60 CSU-transferrable semester units with a minimum of 2.0 GPA.   Note: For majors that are impacted and require selective courses/GPA refer to the impaction information.  https://www2.calstate.edu/attend/degrees-certificates-credentials/Pages/impacted-degrees.aspx 

  3. Complete coursework in the major along with your general education (GE) requirements. Look at www.assist.org fo​r specific major requirements. To satisfy GE, you have two choices: IGETC or CSU GE. 

  4. Apply on time! All California State Universities begin accepting applications October 1st for the following Fall. The sooner you apply, the better your chances are for admission. Some campuses are open for transfer in Spring. Some CSUs accept Spring applicants, but you should check with a counselor or click the link below information: ​​www2.calstate.edu/apply/transfer
