Community Band and Ensemble - $13,000
The COS Foundation has supported these two programs for a few years now. Both offer opportunities for community members to participate in rehearsals and performances alongside COS students. During the COVID pandemic, we at the Foundation were not sure if the show could go on. But both Professor Tackett (Band) and Professor Sorber (Ensemble) devised a way to utilize Zoom and other online teaching aids to continue the programs. Added expenses were incurred to capture and assemble the individual video and audio of each performer and combine them to simulate a concert performance. Below are a couple of examples of their work.

Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Program - $5,600

The PTA Program had a 100% pass rate on the state board examinations during the 2018 summer due to the project funded by the Foundation; test prep course. The PTA Program participants have never been able to fundraise enough to pay for both.  Thanks to the COS Foundation, all 24 PTA Program graduates were able to participate in state board exam prep course and practice exams. This resulted in a 100% pass rate and 100% employment rate for all 24 PTA Program graduates!

Student Center - Visalia Campus Remodel - $30,000

New Piano Lab Teacher's Piano and Headphones - $14,540

 Architectual Modeling Supplies - $2,500

Campus Police Patrol Car - $8,000

More Resources Needed

With over $3.5 million worth of requests submitted over the past six years, there are plenty of viable projects in need of resources beyond the Foundation's current capacity. Foundation volunteers and staff are hard at work to raise more and give more.
