 Password Management

​​​Our MyGiant Login system has a built-in password recovery tool that will allow you to regain access to your account in the event you forget your password.  Please follow all of the steps provided, depending on how you may login.  If you need additional assistance after following the steps provided, please call 559-737-6100 to contact the help desk.


 


 

 On-Campus Login

​​Most COS students will login in the following manner:​

Step 1 - Login to Windows
Step 2 - Enter your​ username (everything left of the @ of your Giant Email address)​
Step 3 - You will be required to change your password
Step 4 - Set your new password (Must not be the current or last password, must have 8 characters, contain at least 1 number, 1 capital letter, 1 lower-case letter, & cannot contain 4 letters or more of any portion of your email address or your name)
Step 5 - Your password has been changed successfully!



 Off-Campus Login

​If you are logging in from an outside location through a web browser, follow the instructions below:​

Step 1 - Open your browser to https://mygiant.cos.edu and enter your username and existing password.
Step 2 - You will be notified that you must change your password. Enter your username.
Step 3 - Enter your new password (Must not be the current or last password, must have 8 characters, contain at least 1 number, 1 capital le​tter, 1 lower-case letter, & cannot contain 4 letters or more of any portion of your email address or your name)
Step 4 - Click continue to proceed.

You have successfully set up the password management system so that you can easily recover your account, in the event you forget your password. Close out your browser, you are done!
