CSU System:
The California State University System has 23 campuses, 430,000 students, and 42,000 faculty and staff. This system is the most diverse and one of the most affordable university systems in the country. They offer unlimited opportunities to help students achieve their goals. They prepare graduates who go on to make a difference in the workforce. They engage in research and creative activities leading to scientific, technical, artistic, and social advances. Moe than 2 million students have graduated from CSU campuses and have gone on to shape the future of California and our nation.

UC System:
The University of California System consists of 10 campuses which grant bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees. (Note: UC San Francisco, UCSF, offers mostly graduate health professional programs.) The UC System is world renowned for its academic excellence and research emphasis. However, the UC System gives the highest priority for transfer admissions to community college transfer students. UC campuses accept only full-time day students at the undergraduate level-no part-time enrollment or evening classes are available. All campuses (except UC Berkeley) operate on the quarter system. Three quarters, fall, winter, and spring, make up the regular academic year.

Seven UC campuses currently offer guaranteed admission to a California Community College student who meets the requirements. These include the following schools: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz

For more information on the TAG Program, see your counselor.

Transfer 4-year Private Colleges
There are many private colleges as well for you to choose from. Locally, Fresno Pacific University (which offers some classes at the COS Hanford Campus) and Brandman University (which has a campus in Hanford) send representatives to meet with students about admissions and academic requirements.
