The FAFSA/Dream Act applications should be completed as soon as possible on or after October 1, 2020. The California priority deadline for submission of the FAFSA and Dream Act is March 2, 2021, in order to be considered for a Cal Grant and other state aid. This applies to California Residents only and it is important for Dream Act students to submit their application by this deadline. You will not be considered for a Cal Grant if an application is received after the deadline.
Step 3Student Aid Report (SAR) is sent to the student electronically if an email was provided or by mail if an email address was not included in FAFSA.
- Review SAR carefully to ensure that all of the information on the report is accurate.
- If corrections or updates need to be made, please log in to the FAFSA website or send the updated SAR via U.S. Mail to the address listed on the SAR.
Step 4All communication from the College of the Sequoias' Financial Aid office will be sent to the student's COS Giant Email Account. The email message will include information on the student's eligibility for federal and state financial aid and further instruction on how to access awards and payment dates.
