​​​​​Registration Information​

  • Date noted as **Funded Session**​ are available to eligible students to take free of charge. To be eligible, you must be a current COS student and a first time ATI TEAS test taker. Registration for the funded session must be done in the Nursing Office. Students must create an ATI account and bring their ATI user name and password to register in the Nursing Office.
  • If you are not eligible for a funded session, you can register for the other sessions through your ATI account. 
  • Non-funded sessions are available to non-COS students and COS students that are not first-time ATI TEAS takers.

Nursing Program Applicants

​College of the Sequoias requires a minimum score of 62% on the ATI TEAS.  Applicants must achieve this score in their first two attempts at the ATI TEAS.  If the applicant does not achieve this minimum score in their first two attempts, they will not be considered for the COS Nursing Program.  A minimum of 45 days between exams is required.  
  • ​​The TEAS 6 is no longer accepted.
  • TEAS 7 was  released June 3, 2022. For common questions/answers regarding TEAS updates please click: FAQs regarding TEAS 7
  • After July 15, 2023 the COS RN and LVN-RN Program will ONLY accept the higher score of the first two attempts at the newest version of the TEAS 7

    ​​ATI TEAS Information

This Testing Site will use the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills.  There are no refunds after your test is purchased. Prior to test day, build a user profile and register/pay for your test.​ Click on the ATI Registration link: TEAS Registration Follow the choices available on the page to select a date and time.

        Test Site:  College of the Sequoias - 915 South Mooney Blvd., Visalia, CA 93277; Hospital Rock Building, Room 110

        The Hospital Rock building is on the north side of the COS main campus. Parking lot 4 is the nearest to the test site. Parking may require the purchase            ​of a $2.00 daily permit.​

  • ​​​Arrive at the test site one half hour early to park, find the room, sign in, and ready yourself for the test.

  • No one will be admitted to the testing room after 7:50AM for the morning session, or after 12:50PM for the afternoon session.

  • If your name is not on the TEAS roster, you will not be permitted to test.

You may only take the following items into the testing room:

  • Federal or state photo identification (Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, etc.)

  • 2 or more sharpened pencils (scratch paper will be provided)

  • ATI website user ID and password

  • If you bring any prohibited item with you, you will be required to return it to your vehicle or other safe area. Allow 4 hours for the test.

    AAC Accommodations

If you are a COS student who receives services from the COS AAC department, and have documentation for extended test time, you must email Tina See at tinas@cos.edu prior to registering for any session. Once you are registered for a session, you are required to submit your AAC form to Tina See to have your accommodations added at least two-weeks prior to your test date. ​
