​How long is the Ag Irrigation Academy? 
Two semesters

What kind of commitment is required?
Students will attend lecture and lab classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:10pm- 5pm.
Students will work their internship hours, up to 225 hours on a flexible schedule.  

Will classes be held in-person? 
Classes and labs are hands-on conducted at the COS Tulare Campus

What classes will I be taking?

Irrigation System Designs, Irrigation Wells and Pumps, Irrigation System Installation, and Water Management

What kind of certificate will I earn in the Ag Irrigation Academy?
Skill Certificate as an Agricultural Irrigation Technician

Does this certificate prepare me for further education?
The certificate prepares student to take the Irrigation Association Industry Certification exam to become a Certified Irrigation Technician. Students can progress to get an associate's degree in Agricultural Technology with the potential to transfer. ​

What is the entry-level pay range upon completion of the academy?

$17-$25 an hour, technicians with five years of experience $26-$35 an hour
