Academy Information for Employer
COS is excited to partner with industry employers to provide students with hands-on work experience. Below are the industry partner responsibilities:
Have a clear understanding of the COS Ag Irrigation Academy objectives.
Assist in developing student internship training plans which foster worksite learning in irrigation and water management practices.
Provide adequate equipment, materials and other resources to expand the competencies developed in the classroom instruction portion of the COS Ag Irrigation Academy.
Offer internships with either 180 hours unpaid or 225 hours paid over 18 weeks with flexible start dates.
Consult with the COS Ag Irrigation Academy Internship Coordinator regarding each student's progress.
Student internships may be terminated at-will, and in writing, by either the training site or College of the Sequoias.
