AlertTC for COS / Emergency Notification

What is AlertTC for COS?
Alert TC is College of the Sequoia's Electronic Notification System, that enables fast and efficient dissemination of urgent information through email, text and voice messaging.  Notifications could be information on any of the following that could have a serious or severe impact on campus activity or could result in injury, property damage or both.
  • College/Campus closings due to severe weather or any other related event
  • Police/Fire Emergencies that may affect the Academic Buildings or the entire campus.
  • Natural, man-made or other serious events that impact the college operation in part or in whole
All members of the AlertTC community are strongly encouraged to partner with the College by registering their cell phone with  AlertTC. In addition to AlertTC, the college may use other communication methods for notifications including; College-wide emails broadcasts, online updates via the District Police Website, Alertus, coordinated use of public media outlets, and public address systems within most College buildings.
As a Clery requirement, AlertTC is tested twice during the academic year but is NOT used for general announcements.
