  • Quilting About.com - A lot of information about all aspects of quilting. Be sure to checkout the "Resources Here for Quilters" link.

  • Quilter's Newsletter - This site is mostly to sell subscriptions but if you look on the right-hand side of the screen you will see links to quilt contests and quilt shows. They are very comprehensive.

Finding Quilting Articles

INDEXES, PERIODICALS and NEWSPAPERS
The COS Library subscribes to over 450 periodicals, newspapers and indexes that are located in the Periodicals Room. These alphabetical and subject web pages list what the library currently subscribes to. 

Indexes
Reader’s Guide To Periodical Literature (paper index)– located in the Periodicals Room.  Indexes approximately 200 magazines of which the COS Library owns 98 %.
Art Index (paper index)- located in the Periodicals Room.  Indexes approximately 200 magazines/journals, many of which the COS Library does not own. However, we can inter library copies of articles from Fresno State Library. It takes about a week

that the library subscribes to over the InternetThese databases can be accessed on campus through the COS Library Web Site and with the exception of Lexis/Nexis at home. To access from home each database requires a login and password that you can obtain by picking up the Electronic Resources Handout at the library information desk or by calling the library at 730-3824. 

  • InfoTrac - After typing in your subject in the search box choose narrow by subdivision.  Look at subdivisions under history, forecasts, management, political aspects and others that are relevant to your topic. Subject Headings quilts, quilting, textiles.
