CountryWatch provides a political and economic survey of 191 countries.  It also has updates from United Press International, other news organizations, and the CountryWatch.com staff which cover the latest economic, corporate, and environmental information on a country by country basis as they occur.

CQ Researcher is your complete source on the most current and controversial issues of the day with complete summaries, all the pros and cons, bibliographies and more. (Annual Cost $523)

CredoReference provides full-text reference books on a wide variety of subjects (Cost $2500)
NewsBank is a full-text database that covers Fresno Bee and 28 America News Magazines (Newsweek, Time, Teen People, US News & World Report, Sports Illustrated, Popular Science, Parenting, Money, Life, Real Simple, Fortune, Family Life, Entertainment Weekly, etc.)  Easy online access to local, in-state, national and international news sources, including newspapers, broadcast transcripts, newswires, news blogs, news web-only content and video.  
Gale Literary Criticism Select is an extensive collection of critical essays on contemporary authors. Each CLC Select entry contains a biographical/critical introduction, listing of principal works and sources for further study.
  Gale U.S. History Resource Center provides integrated access to over 4,000 historical (primary) documents, articles from more than 30 reference titles, and over 110 full-text journal covering themes, events, individuals and periods in U.S. history from pre-Colonial times to the present. The material also includes citations from over 180 additional history journals from the Institute for Scientific Information's Arts and Humanities Citation Index, as well as the entire "American Journey Online" series.
gvrl button Gale Virtual Reference Library provides access to over 200 reference books. All the books are full-text and cover a wide variety of topics including art, science, literature and much more. All titles can be searched simultaneously or individual titles may be selected. (Cost $20,000)
expanded academic ASAP button Expanded Academic ASAP (Infotrac) provides articles from more than 500 scholarly, trade and general-interest publications, as well as references for The New York Times. The databases integrate core titles in every major academic concentration; area  and issue-specific journals; academic journals with application in the professions; and publications with national news coverage and commentary.  The time period it covers is current year to date + the previous 3 years. The optional backfile extends coverage as far back as 1980.  (Annual Cost $9,732)

NetLibrary  has over 9,000 eBooks (books in electronic format available online and in full-text. To access from off-campus you must create a password while on campus. CREATE REMOTE ACCESS ACCOUNT
ProQuest is a mega-database that contains 17 databases including: newspapers and magazine/journals (Annual Cost $19,000)
Proquest National Newspapers Core Proquest National Newspapers Core  includes: Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Christian Science Monitor and The Washington Post.
Los Angeles Times Los Angeles Times is major daily newspaper from Los Angeles. With the nation's largest editorial department, it offers extensive coverage of national, international, and local news.
Proquest Career and Technical Education Proquest Career and Technical Education is a part of ProQuest databases and contains vocational and technical magazine articles covering such areas as: computing science, healthcare, building trades, auto mechanics, sales & retail, accounting, graphic design and photography.
SIRS (Social Issues Research Series) contains all full-text articles from a variety of newspaper and magazines covering current social issues.  (Annual Cost $1440)
ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center provides free access to more than 1.2 million bibliographic records of journal articles and other education-related materials and, if available, includes links to full text. ERIC is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, Institute of Education Sciences (IES)
