Description
COS is excited to partner with industry employers to provide students with hands-on work experience. Below are the industry partner responsibilities: - Have a clear understanding of the COS Ag Irrigation Academy objectives.
- Assist in developing student internship training plans which foster worksite learning in irrigation and water management practices.
- Provide adequate equipment, materials and other resources to expand the competencies developed in the classroom instruction portion of the COS Ag Irrigation Academy.
- Offer internships with flexible start dates either 180 unpaid or 225 paid hours.
- Consult with the COS Ag Irrigation Academy Internship Coordinator regarding each student's progress.
- Student internships may be terminated at-will, and in writing, by either the training site or College of the Sequoias.
