TRANSFER DAY at College of the Sequoias is an annual event held each fall semester. Representatives from UC, CSU and private colleges and universities visit the COS Visalia Campus bringing with them lots of information. The Transfer Admission Representatives are prepared to answer questions regarding admission requirements, major preparation, housing, financial aid, and scholarships.

The following steps are meant to serve as a guideline for transfer students. Find the number of units completed (in orange) and read the suggested actions:
- 0-12 Meet with your Counselor; meet with Career Advisor in room 104; follow the CSU or (UC / IGETC) G.E. pattern.
- 12-24 University Links: explore TAG agreements with UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz; attend the COS Transfer Day in September.
- 24-36 Meet with counselor to update your Student Education Plan (SEP). Submit your TAG agreement with UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz. The seven UC campuses that offer TAG have developed an online system that enables students to view campus TAG requirements, enter their coursework, apply for a TAG and view campus decisions. The site also allows California community college counselors to review their students' TAG agreements. - 36-48 Schedule your appointment with Transfer Counselor. Meet with UC/CSU/Private Representatives.
- 48-60 If you are planning to attend a UC, schedule your personal appointment with a visiting UC Rep for assistance with personal statements and applications. Set-up your appointment date/time for CSU on-line application workshops. Meet with a counselor and complete your graduation checklist. Upon completion of your graduation checklist, file an application for associate degree. Apply for Financial Aid before March 2nd. Submit transcripts to your intended college/university.
College and University Transfer Day is held every September in the quad area on the COS campus. Representatives from the CSU, UC and private college systems are available to answer questions regarding the transfer process. Check with the Transfer/Career Center, Sequoia Building room 104 Sequoia Bldg. or email careertransfer@cos.edu for more information.
