The Career Center offers a complete career search process for students. Advisors meet one-on-one with students, administer Interest Inventories and provide advice on searching indicated career pathways. Advisors also guide the client in using the Center's career resources and provide referrals to other services and/or agencies. The Center recommends this service to all students, including those who simply wish to verify a career/major choice.
The primary career-related database in the Career Center is EUREKA (California Career Information System). EUREKA provides a vast array of career and training information in easy-to-use computer software (Windows format) program. It also provides descriptions of approximately 450 key related occupations PLUS it has a resume preparation program. EUREKA also provides information on, and links to, colleges and universities and a search through scholarship and financial aid resources.
Please visit the Welcome Center, COS Visalia Library or COS Hanford Center Library for EUREKA access.
