Welcome to the Transfer & Career Center

The Transfer & Career Center is committed to providing comprehensive advising and activities for students to strengthen their transfer and career opportunities. To do this, the Transfer & Career Center develops and implements a variety of strategies that increase the number of COS students prepared to transfer to a baccalaureate level institution and provides students career assessment, counseling, and resource materials to help them formulate their career and educational plans.

 CSU Application News

After submitting your CSU application, you will receive an application acknowledgment email from the campus(es) to which you applied.

  • Check your email inbox regularly (including SPAM folder)
  • Follow instructions about when to send documents by the deadline (ex: official transcripts)
  • If any campus needs additional information, they will communicate with you through the student web portal or via campus email
  • If you are receiving an Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) the end of Spring 2018, please see a counselor and apply by Feb 22, 2018.

Failure to get the information to each campus by the deadline can result in your application for admission being denied.

 UC Application News

About 5 weeks after the UC application filling period ended, you are required to update your grades and course records.

  • If you add or drop a course, fail to earn a C or better in a course or enroll in a new college after you submit your application, log back in and update your information online.
  • If you receive an offer of admission, be sure to confirm with the campus admission office that they are aware of the deficient grade or schedule changes. Although you must notify the campus of these changes, we cannot guarantee that a campus can go back to review an application after correspondence has been received. Make sure to save a copy of your correspondence just in case.
  • Each UC campus will notify you of its admission decision, generally by March 31 if you're a fall freshman applicant or by the end of April if you're a transfer student.
