English Proficiency
The international student must submit evidence of examination of his/her ability to use the English language with a degree of proficiency which will enable him/her to benefit from instruction at College of the Sequoias (COS).
|
Each student applying for admission on a Visa to COS will be required to provide proof of English language proficiency and the COS Placement Test. One test is required (unless student is from an English speaking country).
Test scores are good for two years only. If test scores are older than two years, you must take the test again. The entire cost of the tests will be borne by the applicant.
The student will need to request that a copy of their TOEFL, APIEL or IELTS score be mailed to Mona Freeman. The code for College of the Sequoias is 4071.
The results of the TOEFL, APIEL or IELTS must be on file at COS no later than April 1 for those seeking admission for the fall semester and October 1 for those seeking admission to the spring semester.
