168827605[1].jpgThe DRC assists students to maximize their potential and prepare for productive life after college. DRC services are individualized to aid each student's independence, productivity and self-esteem. Services are provided to enhance students' access to, and success in, all classes and activities offered at COS.

The Disability Resource Center joins with College of the Sequoias in an effort to maximize each student's intellectual, occupational, cultural, and social potential. College of the Sequoias' commitment to students with physical, communication, psychological and learning disabilities is evidenced by the growth of the Disability Resource Center since its inception in 1975.
The worth and self-esteem of the student is paramount in this individualized service delivery system, with independence and productivity being common goals. An attempt is made to assist students in making a smooth transition into college and from college to universities or work settings.  Additionally, continued development of awareness and understanding of people/students with disabilities by the campus and local communities is pursued.
