Students with disabilities attending College of the Sequoias are able to receive instructional materials in alternate formats to assist them in achieving academic success. Alternate formats include Braille, electronic text, large print, and tactile graphics. For more information or to inquire about eligibility, please call the DRC at (559) 730-3805.
Alternate Media Request Process
Meet with the DRC Counselor, Director, or Learning Disabilities Specialist to determine eligibility.
After registering for your classes, determine which books you will require in an alternative format. Obtain book information: Title, Author, Edition, Year, Publisher and ISBN. This information can be obtained by contacting the instructor of the course or going to the COS Bookstore website
, and using the "Shop Now, Find your textbooks here" lookup feature.
Complete the online Alternate Media Request Form
for each textbook required. Submit requests as soon as possible, late requests will result in a longer wait time for materials. All information on forms must be complete. After submitting the request electronically, you will receive an e-mail to let you know that your request was received and information regarding availability and projected timelines for production.
