Electrician Training Program Certificate is a program that prepares individuals for the California Electrician Certification Examination as part of the electrician certification process required by the State of California. A total of 32 units is needed for a certificate.

2011-2013 Catalog Requirements
This certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Electrician. Students completing this certificate
will acquire skills in the principles of electricity, circuitry, and power distribution, electrical building and safety codes.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Upon successful completion of this certificate, students will be prepared for employment
in the following fields: home repair and maintenance, electric contractors, electric service and utility providers.
1. REQUIRED CERTIFICATE COURSES:
The Certificate of Achievement requirements include completion of the certificate courses with a “C” or better grade in each course. Required and support courses may be substituted with the approval of the Industry & Technology Division Chair.
