COS Debit Card


COS has partnered with Higher One, who will mail a COS Debit Card to each potentially eligible student . Debit cards are mailed to the address on file with the COS Admissions Office.

Attention New Students 

Debit cards will be mailed to new students beginning the latter part of July.  If you do not receive your C.O.S. Debit Card, please contact the C.O.S. Financial Aid Office and a representative will request a new card for you. Please Note : There is a $20 fee for lost or stolen activated cards and a $7 fee for replacement of inactivated cards.

 

Activate your COS Debit Card

Once your receive your card, you must to go online to www.cosdebitcard.com and ACTIVATE  it to select a refund payment preference.

 

Choose a refund preference

  • Debit Card (Easy Refund)  - Payment will be available the same day as the payment date listed on your award letter.
  • ACH Transfer - Payment will be received in your personal bank account, about 2-3 days after the payment date listed on your award letter. (A bank account number is required for this. You will also have to mail a signature page to Higher One before they will set up this transfer.)

OneAccount ATM Commitment

Higher One understands the importance of having and maintaining functional ATM on campus. Our ATM provides free access to cash and balance inquiries in and around campus. We therefore commit to providing our student population with an operating ATM at all times.

In this regard, we pledge to refund up to $5.00 per day to cover any surcharges or fees incurred due to the lack of a functional OneAccount ATM. Click here for more details on the ONEACCOUNT ATM COMMITMENT .

 

In order to keep your Higher One Account active 

You may be required to provide a copy of your valid identification information to the Financial Aid Office, within 21 days of activating your debit card, or your account could be closed for failure to verify your identity. Once your identity has been verified the process to set up your account will be complete.

 

Valid Forms of Identification for Higher One

  • State Driver's License (including state-issued temporary or provisional licenses with photos)
  • State-Issued Identification Card
  • Military-Issued Identification Card
  • Coast Guard Merchant Marine Card
  • U.S. or Foreign-Issued Passport
  • Permanent Resident Card (i.e., Green Card, Resident Alien Card)
  • Consular ID
  • Student Visa
  • Certificate of Naturalization

If you do not have one of the valid identifications listed above, all the items listed below may be submitted to the financial aid office to verify your identity.

  • Social Security Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Utility Bill with name and address
  • Signature
