PHIL 1 Introduction to Philosophy
This course covers basic philosophical questions such as what is the best society to live in, are all of my actions determined by genes and family upbringing, and must everything I know be based on facts?
Philosophers often come up with ideas that are different than ones we think are true.
We read the original writings of philosophers rather than someone else's interpretation. Weekly reading notes prepare you for discussions. After discussing a topic for several weeks, you write a paper on your learning and ideas.
