How do I register for a class?
Call 687-3201 or 737-4884 or visit our office to register in person.
Can I register at class?
Walk in registration is not available. You must register for class prior to the first class period.
Do I earn credits for Community Ed classes?
No, community education classes are not-for-credit courses. There are no units or grades. Our classes have been developed to meet specific needs or interest in the community, not for academic credit. There are usually no books to buy and no tests to take.
Is Financial Aid Available?
As all community education classes are not-for-credit, financial aid is not available for these classes. Private student loans are available for our Medical Career Step courses and Ed2go Online Career Training (formerly Gatlin Educational Services) provides student loans for their Career Training Programs.
Do I have to pay for parking?
Classes held on the Visalia Campus located at 915 S. Mooney Blvd. - Visalia and the Hanford Campus located at 925 13th Ave. - Hanford are held to the guidelines listed on the campus parking page. Classes held at 4136 N. Mooney Blvd. or other off-site locations do not require permits.
Why are classes cancelled?
Community education classes are offered at no cost to the district (not State or federally funded). A minimum number of students must be enrolled in order for the class to be held. The decision whether to cancel is made one to two days before the class begins and is based on the number of fully paid fees on that date. As such, please register early. An email is usually sent regarding the cancelled class.
Can I get a refund?
Please see our cancellation & refund page for complete details regarding refunds and cancellation of classes. If we cancel a class you will receive a full refund.
