​Working with Windows

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of using Windows to maintain their computer, access Help, and use the Internet Explorer Web browser. Students will learn how to navigate the folder hierarchy and search for files by using My Computer and Windows Explorer, and manage files and folders by using the Recycle Bin. Course activities also cover creating simple word processing documents and drawings, customizing the desktop, and browsing the internet.
Instructor suggests (but not required) student purchase:
Windows 7: Advanced, ISBN-10:1-4260-1812-6, which can be purchased from http://www.axzopress.com/ for approximately $18.75 (not including tax and shipping). You may find it cheaper on Amazon or another online store.
This is a not-for-credit course.
As such, you will not earn units and the class will not be reflected on your banner schedule or on transcripts. As a not-for-credit course, Financial Aid cannot be used to pay for or offset the costs of this course.
