Tai Chi - Moving for Better Balance
Are you looking to improve your balance, strength, coordination, relieve stress and promote a sense of well-being and calm alertness? Tai Chi - Moving for Better Balance is just the class you are looking for. You will learn Tai Chi utilizing a research validated ten movement Yang style tai chi form.
Tai Chi - Moving for Better Balance form if tai chi is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control as having research-verified health effects. You will learn warm up and cool down exercises and a tai chi form which is a series of linked movements derived from martial arts.
It is recommended that you wear loose, comfortable clothes, and flat or low-heeled shoes.
The instructor, Jeff Alexander, holds Tai Chi certifications from Tai Chi for Health Institute, the Arthritis Foundation, and the California Department of Public Health.
This is a not-for-credit course. As such, you will not earn units and the class will not be reflected on your banner schedule or transcripts.
