All college work is measured in terms of both quantity and quality. The measure of quantity is the unit, and the measure of quality is the grade point. For purposes of graduating or transferring to other collegiate institutions, it is necessary for students to obtain a "C" average.
Grades:
"A", "B", "C", and "D" are passing grades corresponding to excellent, good, satisfactory, and passing. "F" is failure. A grade of "I" (Incomplete) may be given in cases of illness or unusual circumstances. An "I" grade must be made up no later than one year following the end of the term in which it was assigned. The (I) symbol shall not be used in calculating units attempted or for grade points. The student is entitled to all grade points upon satisfactory completion of assignments within one year. "W's", "I's", and "NC's" will be used as factors in progress probation and dismissal procedures.
300 level courses are graded "A", "B", "C", or "No Pass (NP)".
It is understood that after the instructor's grades are handed in, they are final. Therefore, they are not subject to change except by permission of the instructor. Grade changes may be made by the instructor ONLY in cases of mistakes, fraud, bad faith, or incompetency.
Students may access their grades by going to BanWeb. Click on the "Student Services & Financial Aid" icon and then click on "Student Records". From this page students will be able to view holds on their records, display and print grades, transcripts, review charges and payments.
NOTE : Please pay any debts owed to College of the Sequoias BEFORE attempting to view grades. Tagged records may prevent you from accessing your grades.
