Students of ethnic studies use interdisciplinary methods to understand culture and race in the United States. Students may be undertaken from the perspective of anthropology, history, sociology, literature, religion, economics, ecology, art and/or music.
The courses help people understand people of various ethnic backgrounds, as well as, to better understand the United States. Students may also take these courses to better understand themselves.
All ethnic studies classes are transferable to four-year colleges and meet general education requirements. In addition, they fulfill requirements for an Associate of Arts Degree at COS. |
