Administration of Justice courses lead to career opportunities in local, state, federal and private criminal justice agencies.
Local Level - County probation departments, halfway
houses, group homes, crisis centers, juvenile halls, municipal police
departments, county sheriff offices, and welfare fraud.
State Level - probation, juvenile institutions,
state police, highway patrol, Alcohol Department, Motor Vehicles
Department, Department of Justice, Fish and Game, and Forestry.

DEGREES
The Degree in Administration of Justice must be focused on Law Enforcement or Corrections
. The Administration of Justice major is preparatory for further
education at a four-year university to meet employment requirements for
agencies such as the FBI, Customs, and the Secret Service. The
Administration of Justice major at the A.S. level is useful for various
local employers. For an A.S. degree, the student needs 30 units of
course work with a minimum "C" grade plus General Education and
graduation requirements for a total of 60 units (see current COS
catalog.) Select the specialty in which you have an interest.
