This area of study prepares students for entry-level employment in the field of Machining and Manufacturing. Students completing this certificate will acquire skills, knowledge, and abilities related to new technologies in manufacturing including machine tools, machine shop practices with emphasis on Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), and National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) standards.
