COS GIANT OPEN HOUSE:
During the Fall Semester COS holds a campus wide Open House. The Architecture Department participates with an Information
Booth in the Main Quad Area.
 
DESIGN VILLAGE COMPETITION, CAL POLY SAN LUIS OBISPO:
COS students enrolled in the ARCH014 Architectural Design 4 course compete every other year in this Spring Semester event. We have a history of winning awards in this competition.
 
AIASJ STUDENT DESIGN COMPETITION:
COS students enrolled in the ARCH011 Architectural Design 2 and ARCH014 Architectural Design 4 courses compete in this Spring Semester event sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, San Joaquin Chapter. We compete against CSU Fresno and Fresno City College. We have a great tack record for this competition.  We have won 7 out of the last 8 years! Check out the Student Competitions page.
 
AIASJ SAND CASTLE COMPETITION:
COS students enrolled in the ARCH010 Architectural Design 1 course compete in this Fall Semester event sponsored by the American Institute of Architects, San Joaquin Chapter.  We compete against CSU Fresno, Fresno City College, and local architectural firms.  We have won several times!  Check out the Student Competitions page.
 
GIANT TECH-PREP EXPO:
During the Spring Semester local High School drafting students will be competing in an Architectural Design Competition here at COS.  If you or your High School would like to participate, contact our department.
 
HIGH SCHOOL ARTICULATION:
The following COS courses can be articulated with local high schools: DRFT112 Mechanical Drafting 1 (3 units) Credit by Exam only, and DRFT114 Introduction to CAD (4 units) Credit by Exam only.  Contact our COS Articulation Officer.
 
STUDY ABROAD:
During the summer the Architecture Club travels abroad. The trip typically takes place during the last week of July.
Cost is typically between $1,500 and $2,500 and includes round trip airfare, lodging, dining, & more.  See our Study Abroad page. Start saving now!
 
ARCHITECTURE CLUB:
Club activities include Architectural Competitions, Club T-Shirt Sales, Movie Night, Magic Mountain Trip, Pizza Parties, Architecture Field Trips, and Architect Office Visits.

Architecture courses lectures available to students through iTunes.  A great resource for studying and when you miss a class.
