Lending Library Check Out Instructions

Foster Care Providers and other residents of Kings and Tulare Counties, California only are entitled to check-out any of the Lending Library resources listed on this website.
The listed books, videos, CDs and audiocassettes may be checked out for your personal growth and/or to help you deal with specific problems you are having.
Credit for training hours may be available.  Please contact your County Licensing Worker or Foster Family Agency / Group Home Administrator for approval of your selection, and requirements for documentation/reports if you are interested in receiving training hours.  The College of the Sequoias FKCE is NOT able to issue any verification.

NOTE:  The items listed in this Lending Library are NOT for sale.   However, individuals from outside the College of the Sequoias service area are welcome to email inquiries to Linda (lindap@cos.edu) about where resources listed on this website can be purchased if their own searches (google.com or amazon.com will often have positive results) have proven unsuccessful.

Please note that this website cannot electronically generate a list of the items you wish to check out -- you must manually type them into the venue (email or letter) you are using to inquire about check-out or availability.   For phone, email, or mail requests, items will be mailed to you.  It is your responsibility to return the items either by mail (at your expense) or in-person.

CHECK-OUT REQUIREMENTS:

We are currently allowing check-out of materials on an “on your honor” basis for timely return of undamaged items.  The check-out policy could change in the future to require deposits if items are not being returned or are returned in a damaged condition.
A.  To Check-out an Item: Include the name of the item and the format you desire (some items come in book, video, CD-ROM, and/or cassette formats).  Please limit your selection to 2 items per check-out.
B.  A check-out form, which will be sent out with the item, will indicate the due date and note any existing damage, so that you are not held responsible for previous damage.
C.  Items are due back 4 weeks from the date they are mailed to you.  A three-day grace period is allowed for mailing delays.
