Collegiate Agricultural Leaders (CAL)

Collegiate Agricultural Leaders is the official organization of students enrolled in California Community College Agricultural/Natural Resources programs throughout the state. The two major activities of the organization are the Fall Student Leadership Conference and the Spring Statewide Competition.

Just about every educational group is promoting the importance of leadership skills as a valuable component of a person's training. CAL’s mission and primary focus is to provide leadership opportunities to students enrolled in agriculture programs in the state. This fledging organization has done just that. With a fall leadership institute and a spring statewide competition CAL gives students the experience and training that today's employers are looking for.

Articulate, enthusiastic, bright and energetic individuals are what the organization aims to develop. This takes professional training that is being provided by The Carl D. Perkins Act.
